Default BD Felt Pads

Does anyone know of an online source for a bass drum felt pad (i.e. with a adhesive backing)? I can't find them anywhere. Lots of pads with hard inserts, but no simple felt pads.

I would just make my own. You can get felt of various thicknesses at hobby and fabric stores. Cut it to whatever size you want and hit it with spray ahdesive. There you are!

I think you'd want a felt pad for the same reasons you'd want a felt beater - softer, mellower sound with less contact sound and more drum sound.

I don't want a lot of attack. This is for Jazz. In fact, I want to soften the attack.

Dude, when you see somebody with a felt pad on the bass drum beater spot, that's actually Dr. Scholl's moleskin plus. I use that all the time. You get two 3x5 sheets for like $3 at the grocery store. It has an adhesive backing and they last pretty long. And you can take it off easily as well. This product has been used like this for a good 45 years.

This. ^ Bo beat me to it.

A few years ago, I read an interview with Fred Below where he referenced using a Dr Scholl's pad on his bass drum. When it wore out, he would simply replace it.
