I don't know if this is making sense but I guess what I am trying to ask is how do I use the rudiments I know and make a flowing solo. When I watch and listen to other people solo they seem to make it flow and are able to use different rudiments in a way that doesn't make the solo sound choppy or have breaks. Any help would be great. Thanks |

When one speaks of rudimental solos, they usually mean notated solos - although improvising on rudiments is a good outlet for creativity. Try these books - they will help you with combining the rudiments.

Do you mean soloing on the snare drum, or applying the rudiments to the drum-set?
