Default Could use help identifying this Yamaha Snare

So this little guy has been hanging out in a case for quite some time. Between my DW Collectors Series snare and my other Custom snare this one just doesn't see the light of day much. So I had contemplated selling it and decided I'd do some research first.

Am I reading correctly on google that this is a Recording series snare?
I know this is an early 80's series drum it came with my kit when I got it, well in the early 80's.

The throw off/strainer system if very unique compared to conventional type strainers.

Just wondering if anyone has a link to a site to look up older drums and their values?

Based on the "Made in Taiwan" label on this parallel action Yamaha snare...I believe this was made in the late 70's...I think that's when Yamaha made some of there snares in Taiwan...not 100% sure but pretty sure..BTW..that's a really nice snare..very sensitive response and seamless shell to boot.....

The fine print on the copied catalog page lists it as being the 000 series.

Yeah I saw that too and thought, hmmmm is that it's own series and it must be. Looks like it was made for a few years and is something unique so it's making me really question selling it at this point.

That drum is in amazing condition for being 32 years old. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested if you ultimately decide to sell it.

Looks like doing some more research this is the predecessor to the Recording Custom line. Have to say the more I find out the less I'm considering letting this little gem go.

This is the Yamaha equivalent to the Ludwig Super Sensitive snare drum. I remember that catalog!
