Here are a few things I would not tell my wife:

"I ate your chocolate this morning while you were sleeping."

"Yes, that dress does make you look fat."

Would never tell her those annoying little things she does that bother me. Like leave her hair after she brushes it on the sink, or not filling the ice-tray's on band practice days...THE NERVE! Hehe, but overall we are like con struct and his wife, we live our own lives but lean on each other for support in our up and down times. Didn't think having a gf or wife would workout while being an active musician, but then again it helps that she's my drum tech!

I'm mostly honest except for with prices of certain things, like drum gear. My wife NEVER checks our balances and such in our accounts so there's a little bit of a 'wifey exchange-rate'. If a cymbal costs $250, then it's $149.00 to the wife.

Or, I use another trick if I feel like telling the truth. Example - I just bought a couple (cheap) overhead mics. They were $100 and if I were to tell her this right off the bat she might become pissed, so I'll completely exaggerate the price and say something like "Oh, they were only $299.00 a piece but they're really good." and she'll flip out. I let her flip out for a few minutes until she lets it all out then I say "I was only kidding, they were just $99." Then I'll show her the recepit and she'll say "Oh, really? Oh, okay." I don't use this one very often lest she'll catch on.

lol.....I'm actually pretty thrifty when it comes to securing myself a bargain. I HATE paying retail.....just hate it. Retail is for those who can't/won't haggle, IMHO.

However, I've been known to employ the "wifey exchange rate" tactic when I haven't been as thrifty as I'd liked to have been. Besides, i'll stake everything I own on the fact that she does the same thing when it comes to shoes/wardrobe.

You do have your own money, right? So what business is it of hers how you choose to spend it? Does she have her own money? If so is it any of your business what she does with it?

I think my wife spends way too much money on clothes and shoes and cheap baubles and such, earrings and bracelets and that. But, it's her money.

I am married to my practice pad. I think I have a rubber fetish??? I spent a solid 8 hours with it yesterday and was surprized when I finally went out what a lovely day it was.

Why in the hell would you marry someone that you feel like you have to lie to.
I have been divorced since 1976, longer than most of you have been alive, and since my ex decided to lie to me just to get married, I have been very cautious, and probably have built up a very thick wall. But I just don't understand why you can't man up. If you think with the head on your shoulders, you won't have to lie.

I wasn't married to my ex but we may as well been but I spent several many miserable years with her and quite frankfully why people put up with it is beyond me.

the only good thing to come from that was our Son.

don't say it's because of the kids or losing out on alimony man grow a spine...

go forward ten or twenty years will you get those years back

Best thing I ever did was leave her, I'd had enough............I signed over the House and kissed good bye around One hundred and fifty thousand pounds!!

Do I regret it...........do I f**K

Fast forward to today I am married, have been for five years, six in January to a Woman who supports me fully in everything...........I'm a better Father to my son and well if I had stayed with my ex I doubt I'd be typing this as I probably would be hanging in the shed....

Life is for today not tomorrow............

Well, you understand that different people have different systems or ways of doing things right?

Edit- what I mean is, no reason to question their relationship because yours isn't like that.
