Default Mount Octoban like a Tom

Hi! It's me again!

Even if I think that I already know the answer, I'll ask this question anyways...

I was just wondering if I could use tom mounting brackets on Octobans so I could mount them with tom stands...

Thank you!

I can't think of any reason why you couldn't. It's basically a 6" tom. Drill it, and put your mount on there. Definitely need short screwdrivers, though.

Or are you talking about finding like a RIMS type mount for it?

The "clip" style tom mount that most octobans use, has been around since "before" octobons ... used primarily with concert toms. And in greater numbers, with small sized, cheap, add-on drums.
Now, switching out "one type" of tom mount for another ... people do that all the time.

Well, if you talk about RIMS type mount like the star-cast mount systems on Tama drums, well no... that's not what I'm talking about. I just say using the part of a tom that connects to a tom arm (shaped like an L). But thanks anyway dude!
