Default Shure PSM 600 In Ear Monitors

Hello everyone! Glad to be a part of the forum!

I have been looking into going with in ear monitors and have a line on a brand new Shure PSM 600 setup. I have two questions. First, does anyone have experience with this unit and if so what are your thoughts?

Second, due to the new FCC frequency regulations will this unit be unuasable in the near future? I don't really have a good grasp on the whole thing and don't want to put out good money for something that is basically useless in 3-6 months.

Any help on the subject would be great!

Thanks in advance!

RJ

I have a PSM 400 which is very similar minus a couple of input channels. When you refer to "PSM 600 setup", what's included? I ask because I thought I was buying the "system", but it didn't come with a mixer, and I had to buy that separately. I have the P4T transmitter, P4R receiver and P4M monitor mixer. The P4R came with a set of SE115 earbuds, but I already had SCL5 earbuds which are way better. I've been using mine during practice and band rehearsals trying to get used to it. So far, I like that my ears don't ring after playing for a couple of hours. The receiver eats batteries pretty quickly, so I would always carry an extra to a gig.
