Default Looking for a stand for crash cymbal

The cymbal is a 17" medium thin type, so its not too heavy. The last stand that i bought was a Mapex 323B or something similiair and it works really well, currently has a 16" china and a 14" hanging floor tom from it and doesnt really have balance issues. but i wouldnt mind trying something else just to compare, not looking to spend too much over 50 as i could get another mapex stand for that price too. Any suggestions would be good, thanks :)

How 'bout a Pearl BC-900? I just got two of those things and I love those!

I'm thinking of getting the matching hi-hat and snare stand now....

I would also recommend the Pearl BC-900 cymbal stands as a good, sturdy medium priced stand.

Btw, I also own a 900 hi hat stand and it too beats a lot of the more pricier stands in function and workmanship. If you need a hi hat stand, take a look at those.

Most of the stands are good. You don't have to spend a lot to get a real good one.
Most drummers only need a light to medium duty stand.
Super heavy stands aren't needed in most cases.
Buy the lightest stands that you can find that will do the job. It is you that has to lug them around!
I've been using thin lightweight stands for a few years now and I have had no problems with them.

2nd that.

I use the BC-900 boom stands on 2 of kits, and am getting the 900 series hardware pack for my 3rd kit this month. Best hardware on the market IMO.
