Default Need help with picking out a new kit

I currently have a black pearl export drum kit right now and i got it in 2000 and seeing that i've had the same kit for 10 years now its time to upgrade , my skill level and dedication level is way up there but i'm having trouble trying to decide what kit i want to go with. Orignally i wanted to get a Pearl MCX but i've been looking at ludwigs maple kits as well as mapex saturns. As of right now i feel like buying a Mapex saturn, I've heard very good reviews on them. However the other issue is I have a 22inch bass drum and its not loud and punchy enough so idk if getting a 24inch would be better or would the new 22inch mapex saturn one be louder then what i have now due to wood selection? I'm confused, also the other problem is the 13x11 or watever rack tom would be hard to place over the 24inch bass drum and looking at all the usual websites ( musiciansfriend, samash) all the the kits only have the 22inch bass drum configurations , do i have to speacial order the 24inch bass directly from mapex or what ? (i'd be gettin a 18inch floortom as well) please tell me ur opinions , suggestions and feedback i need help with this , thankyou

there is a prepack with a 24" bass available outside the u.s. but in the states anything bigger then a 22x20" is all special order. i had planned on getting the 24" bass a few months after i ordered my kit but the 22" is plenty loud enough.

to me punchier means smaller, did you ever consider going with a smaller diamater, deeper bass drum? i'm not sure what mapex offers, but i'd check into it. but then again i might be bias since lately i'm on kind of a smaller bass drum kick. haha, that was punny.get it, small bass drum kick? oh man, that sounded wayyy too much like my band director...
