Default Stock heads worth keeping?

Do stock heads lose life if they've been taken off before bin used and stored away?

No. They're made out of mylar plastic. They might degrade if you store them in a hot room in direct sunlight, but if they're just sittin' in the closet, then no. You could save them for spares, but I don't know if I'd use those stock heads to save the show if I had to!

I totally agree. I keep most of my old heads for a while after I retire them, But I have yet to go back on any old heads. BUT i have noticed that my expired aquarian coated snare head sounds better than a brand spanking new remo dot, so I might go back on that one :)

If they're single ply, you could use them as reso side heads.
