I've been trying to hook my electronic drum kit (Alesis DM5 Pro) to my PC so that I could play with ezDrummer or Superior Drummer VSTi sounds, because I'm not very pleased with samples in the DM5 module. I've got a low-latency external music card (I play guitar as well and I'm using my POD X3 Live for that purpose - it supports ASIO) and I've got good quality MIDI-USB cable to connect drums with PC. I've set up Toontrack Solo correctly but when I play I still got quite big delay between when I hit the pad and when I hear the sound which makes is almost impossible to practice this way. I've tried changing some of the ASIO settings (buffer size etc.) but it doesn't help much. Does anyone have any clues what can be the cause of such delay and how to deal with it? |

Yes it's 7200 rpms. I don't think it's the PC specs problem.
