Default Incredibly perfect, beautiful song moments

I was listening to some music last night, and I noticed that some songs just have these incredibly sensitive, beautiful moments, whether it's a drum fill, a vocal note, or a piano intro, you name it.
These are not ordinary great sounding musical moments. This is when everything falls into place so perfectly and beautifully.
4 came to mind for me.

Rise Against - Roadside - 2:36-2:50
It's just so amazing when those violins hit in. Incredible musical moment. I'd pay for this song ten times just for those 14 seconds.

Avenged Sevenfold - Gunslinger - 3:20-3:37
Beautiful chorus and vocals. And the drum buildup fits perfectly.

Dream Theater - One Last Time - 1:05-1:15
Not to mention the amazing piano intro, Portnoy's extremely well executed drum fill fades into the incredible chorus and vocals. Just a perfect combination from all the instruments.

Sum 41 - Pieces - 0:00-0:55
Pretty much the entire intro. The guitar and organ are beautiful together, and if you have a good ear you can catch the soft bass drum in the backround. Then when he hits that last note and goes into the verse it just brings everything together.

Highly recommend you listen to these, especially the 1st and 4th.

Feel free to share more! I love these types of moments, and It's be cool to see what you guys pick.

You are showing your sensitive underside now. I get the same feelings in songs. I just can't remember the names until I hear them again. I will have a listen and let you know. :)

Tons and tons of moments like this. Green Carnation's Light of Day, Day of Darkness features an amazing guitar solo that seems to reach the very heavens:

Miles Davis Love For Sale. http://youtu.be/UmWMNi6vATY

This is the Kind Of Blue group. The whole track is brilliant but I'm especially taken by the way the band transitions from one soloist to the next. Each guy picks up where the other left off. The playing from the rhythm section and the subtle changes in the support they give each soloist are the mark of one of the great bands of all-time. The hand-off from Cannonball to Coltrane from 5:05 - 5:15 is great, Coltrane to Evans at 7:35 - 7:50 maybe even better, but they're all great. Sublime music from a band that had a degree of empathy between members that I'd kill to experience some day.

Thelonious Monk Bemsha Swing (3:26 - 3:33) http://youtu.be/NBzh-8SKB2U

The first few notes of Clark Terry's trumpet solo. Old meets new (at the time) and Terry's more traditional phrasing somehow perfectly fits Monk's more idiosyncratic approach.

Larry Young Softly As In A Morning Sunrise (0:33 - 0:38) http://youtu.be/rgB-o0gy1k4

The transition from brushes to sticks by Elvin. I love, love, love this. Things just hang for a second, there's a pause and the anticipation of the great improvisations and the build in dynamics to come. The sticks come in and the tune really starts rolling. Elvin was such a f****** master of setting the tone for the band.

Oliver Nelson Stolen Moments (1:18 - 1:28) http://youtu.be/I777BcgQL9o

The band plays the head for the last time and Roy Haynes hits an accent and Freddie Hubbard is off. Drama.

Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers Free For All (2:26 - 2:55) http://youtu.be/HbogvQzDpxM

As far as I'm concerned, the greatest tenor sax solo of all time, but this is my favorite excerpt from Wayne Shorter's masterpiece. You can hear the band shouting at around the 2:50 mark. They do that a lot throughout the course of this song. Just a magical take with energy levels off the charts.

The night and day contrast of one of the heaviest, sludgiest riffs I've ever heard with sweet indie style female vocals.

If you play this in the right mood with the right weather it is absolutely magical,

http://youtu.be/m2NhRFYd6mg

Skip to around 2.20 to be blown away.

Ooohhh man I have tons of these :D

Let's start with Opeth:

The Moor - The whole first couple minutes, and the very end.

Deliverance - The outro

The Funeral Portrait - the first grunt with the second main riff, about 1:16

Ghost Of Perdition - 9:37 to the end

Burden - The keyboard solo is just perfect.

Dimmu Borgir:

Born Treacherous - 0:19

The Sacrilegious Scorn - 2:42 just really epic

Eradication Instincts Defined - 5:04 - 6:00

The Demiurge Molecule - 3:18

Dream Theatre:

A Nightmare To Remember - 5:39 - 6:21 is one of the most beautiful part osfa song I have ever heard.

I have a ton more but I think thats enough for now lol

U2's Moment of Surrender off the No Line On The Horizon album... remembering that the entire song was recorded in one take, and everyone involved has described it as being practically 'a religious experience' where everyone was in sync... hearing it will blow your head off.

Hard for me to go past Joni Mitchell's Goodbye Pork Pie Hat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV-lBswnEvE ... 2:16 - 2:40 is tingle material then 3:45 - 4:20 Michael Brecker's tenor solo is intense.

A lot of stuff by Avenged Sevenfold. The Seize the Day solo always got me. Fictions another amazingly emotional song. So Far Away too, especially with their new video for it, its got a whole load of footage of Jimmy in it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7ry4cx6HfY

*sticks hand up*

Another Mogwai fan here.

I was obsessed with the album "Come On Die Young" for a long time.
