Default Hart pro or V-Drums???

Well, after 15 years, college, and kids growing up, my wife gave the go-ahead for an electronic drum set!!!

I sold my set way back when to pay for a ring.

I have been out of the game so long that I need your help.

Based on internet research this is the kit I am looking to order.

Hart Dynamics 6.4 Pro
Roland TD12
Trick Dominator double kick

What are your thoughts on a Hart set over V-Drums, price is not an issue, I want quality as this is more than likely a set that will hopefully last me for some time.

You should probably head over to vdrums.com It is a dedicated electronic drums forum. Have you looked at the new Yamaha line? I really like those alot. I have a Roland TD-20 kit but I replaced all the pads with Yamaha pads. I dont like the mesh that everyone raves about. The Yamaha pad feels more like an accostic to me but Roland has the best hi-hat (VH-12) on the market.

Do your research, there are a lot of options today. Most people are using the VST software to trigger the drums instead of the stock module sounds. Go over to vdrums and spend a day or two. There is a wealth of information.
