Default DW 9900BD Sliding tom mount

Does anyone have experience with the DW 9900BD tom mount? This is the mounting system that would be fitted to the bass drum for double toms. I know "virgin bass drums" are very popular among DW players but I'm kind of an old school guy and like the convenience of having a mount right on the bass. If you have one of these systems I'd like to know your thoughts about the quality of the system and how it's worked for you. Thanks for any input.

This mount was originally a Corder design. DW may have bought the rights to it.

You might PM Bermuda about this, as he was a Corder drum endorser for a few years.
I remember and ad with him and I believe the toms were mounted on this sliding mount.

Tama has something similar for some of their lines, Sonor does too--both of their designs are hea-vy.

A quick follow-up. I purchased and installed the mount. Couldn't be happier. It's very solid and allows excellent positioning options. If you're like me and prefer toms mounted on the bass you won't go wrong with this setup.

Slide track's are the shizzle. I wish YAMAHA would come out with one.

A Yamaha base post should fit into that mount, which kinda looks "Yamaha-ish" (the last version I remember seeing that is). But if you'd want to stay "original Yamaha" on a kit, I can see not going for one.
That was the food thing about Yamaha's arms when they went into the drum. The arm itself was long, and you could get the toms exactly where you wanted them.
