Default Sound absorbing material for drumshields

Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendation of good sound absorbing materials that I can use to place on the inside of my drumshields? I want to absorb as much sound rather than just allowing the sound to bounce around inside the shields.

I'd like to set up absorbing materials around my drum shields to look somewhat like this:
http://www.clearsonic.com/IsoPacA.htm

I am hoping to do this as a temporary fix while I save up for some proper clearsonic isopac drum shields.

You can actually buy those sound absorbers from Clearsonic. They stock them at a local drum shop here in Portland, and they range from, like $24 to $130 for different sizes or something like that. You can buy the pads now and the clearsonic shield later and not waste any money buying something else that will "do" for the moment...

Use sheets of rockwool insulation finished in hessian (sack material). Use adhesive velcro to fix it to the shields.

Caddy have you looked at those? What are they made out of? Are they a dense harder material or softer like say foam?
