Default TD 4kx vs. TD 9kx

Hi, new to the forum as well as elec kits.

mostly want to practice, but i wanna be able to have a bash as well. other stuff isn't really a concern. im gonna be playing with headphones late at night, but during the day i'll probably have a bash.

anyway, im just wanting to know if the extra 1k is worth it for the td9 and any drawbacks people are aware of.

thx in advance =)

Welcome to the forum fitts :)

I have been using a TD-9kx for about a year and a half and I love it. Don't know what your deal for it is but I definitely recommend it. Really good for practice since you can see how in time you are to the beat and the feel and sound is very nice. Don't know much how it differs from the TD-4.

If you live in an apartment you should have no problem bothering any neighbour but be careful with playing to late, the kit is in all quite but the kick do make sound.. well... my neighbours complaint...

Good luck with your kit.

I ended up trying each of them out side by side anyhow, so I'll definitely be getting the td-9kx. The extra ~$1000 is definitely well worth it.
