What type/colour is my DW snare?

Hello,

I have a DW snare, but i don't know the type and colour of it.
Does somebody know the type and colour of it? i can't find anything with brown glass glitter or black glass glitter from DW.

Well seeing as those are Black badges, that would date that snare at mid 90s. Can't remember 100% when they changed to the gold badges. I'd say that's why there's no info on it on DWs site now.

Email their customer service about it - they are really good and have always responded to my emails.

Thanks! it is really a nice snare, véry funky! (i think it sounds even better with wood hoops,i really wanna try it.

I bought it 2 years ago (second hand, the reason i have no idea wich type, colour , family ;-)

It looks like a collectors series probably pre- 2002 2003...I think this is when DW went to gold badges like I have ( which stopped in 2009? or so)...not sure on finish...but it looks like a great snare!

Keep in mind, DW has rarely ever had "standard" colors.

In the 90's, their color chart was pages upon pages long, and even then, they would make custom colors, one offs, or whatever the customer could want.

So trying to find the exact name of the color of your snare might be fruitless.
