Hi you mean your friend hand made the snare himself or he went to some company and tell them the specs he wants? I always wanted a custom snare but do not know how to start with.

hi, my friend knows a guy from dixon drums and told him the spec and deisgn. kind of custom service from the company, not so sure though.
He likes this snare a lot and always takes it to his gigs, ha.

Wow that's a nice snare!!! where was it made? it has a Dixon badge for the USA market. Is it avaliable in other countries?

I am not so sure, didnt' see the custom snare drum. Just checked Dixon webpage http://http://www.playdixon.com/prod...n.aspx?id=SN_W
They have lots snares, but some pics are not clear... I am thinking of buy their Brady rose gum http://www.playdixon.com/news_info.aspx?id=1 wonder how it sounds?
