Default Getting new heads

Snare:

Evans Clear G2 on top

Evans Hazy 300 Snare Side... See More

Toms:

Remo Emperors on top

Remo Ambassadors on Bottom

I like what I'm getting for my toms, as I love Jimmy Chamberlins tom sound, that's exactly what I want my toms to sound like.

But for my snare I want a little of a sharp sound. I like Thomas Pridgens snare sound but if it only could get a bit of a more define fatter sound.

I also like Jim Fox's snare.

Maybe I should just copy JImmy Chamberlins snare sound too.

What should I get? Looking for suggestions.

AFAIK, according to the Evans website the HD's have the most defined attack.

i haven't tried them yet, i have one at home, but haven't put it on yet.

if you want sharp but fat , try a thicker batter head with a thinner reso :

somethin like : emperor x with diplomat , or something like that , you get the idea
