Default YAMAHA Cowbell Holder?

I'm trying to figure what Weckl, Gadd, Russ Miller, etc. use from Yamaha as a cowbell holder. I can't really tell from their pics/vids. On Yamaha's website they say the CH 750 is also a cowbell holder. I have one, but there is no explaination on how it is intented to be used as a cowbell holder unless it is just as simple as removing the wing nut and cymbal felts and clamping onto the threaded post (or just below). This seems like a simple thing, but just looking for some confirmation.

Hi there!

If you want to set up a cowbell, tambourine etc. on CH 750 you are right - you remove the wing nut, felts and the plastic support, clamping it on the non threaded part of the cymbal tilter.

You can also get a proper holder which is referenced as the CWH 940. Which looks like this:

Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks. That does help. Also explains what I'm probably seeing on Weckl's and other kits. Gadd's must be some sort of bd hoop mount.

My guess for Gadd and Weckl is that they are using the Yamaha HSAT 910 hi-hat attachment (for double kick set-ups) Only they are just using the part that attaches to the kick (see the left part on the picture - what you see as a vertical bar) and setting up their cowbell on that.

What you see on Russ Miller's kit in that picture is defiantly the CWH 940.

Here you can buy it separate.

But I would go for the CWH-940 (but it is quit long rod so you might want to shorten it)
