does anyone know what kind it needs? i bought one today, it fit but the pad said it was incompatible. does anyone know which exact brand or whatever i need?

Dont really know what you mean. The spds requires a compact flash card. 512MB is the biggest memory it can go. U may need to format the card first and import your data inside from the spds itself, not just your pc.
