Default I Will not Bow (Breaking Benjamin)

There are so many different "bells and whistles" in this song. What I'd especially like to know is how Chad Szeliga played the bell in that fill in the first verse. I know this is a little vague, but hopefully you'll understand what I mean.

I love this song, it'd be so fun to learn how to play. The way he does the bell on the third chorus, i think, was awesome. I havn't looked to see to how to play it, i just wanted to compliment on the song lol

it's pretty much like it sounds. It's just singles starting on the bell of the ride then to the snare with a double on the bell at the end.

Yeah man great find. He is a great drummer that doesn't get a lot of attention. I really enjoy his style.

I actually study with Chad when he's not on tour. He's a great guy and really knows how to express his style into words. He's originally a "bee bop" drummer with influences in jazz. You can hear the subtle accents inbetween his groove that really adds a cool dimension to his music.

His idea is to master a swing beat and think in triplets, not quarters. That is the biggest hurdle a rock drummer faces. Now, that's all I work on! It's really helped my playing and expanded my creativity!

Yeah you can def here the bee bop and jazz in his playing. Ive never once thought of thinking in triplets haha. Its always been the quarters and eighths. Course this might have a lot to do with marching band
