Default Shure PG6 Mics

I could use some input on this mic set.

http://www.music123.com/Shure-PG-6-P...26561.Music123

I'm on a tight budget and found this set with 6 XLR cables, 2 overhead boom stands, and a boom for the bass drum mic for $399. I know that 57's are the "standard" but like a said it's a money thing. My band is a 3 piece and we play mostly acoustic stuff, nothing heavy. We plan on doing some recording but nothing too serious. This project is more for fun than a career.

Any help on the quality of these mics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob.

I use them. They're not the best you can get, but worth the price. With some dampening and mixing, they will sound good. Also good for live mic'ing. Look at my videos(in signature). I use them there too.

Thanks Thaard.

Really, no one else has any experience with these?

I just got a ridiculous deal on the Shure DMK57-52 with XLR cables and a boom stand for the bass drum mic.
