Default NEED HELP!! TUNNING!!

Ok so I just got new drum heads for my ddrum. Got Evans g2. heared they were great. So here is my issue!!.. How do I tune? and do I tune the botton head as well? where I don't even play? Really need the adivce!!!

Use the 'search' function mate......there's so many threads on this already. Some great reading and plenty of helpful tips.

To get you started though, google 'The Drum Tuning Bible' and check youtube for Bob Gatzen videos dedicated to tuning.....the rest comes down to practice.

Tuning snares

Tuning bass drums

Why reso heads are important

Reducing snare buzz part 1 and part 2.

Yep those should just about cover it. And yes you need to tune the bottom heads as well if not replace them. They take just as much abuse as the batter heads from all the air being pushed against them.

Your bottom (resonant) heads have as much affect on the sound of the drums as the batter heads.
