Default My Kickport review.

I went to the local drum shop and had them demonstrate the Kickport. Well i can hear a difference but its not the same as your kit in your place. I decided to get one and brought it home. I tried it with, without, miced and unmiced. All i have to say is wow what a difference! Major bottom end and really cleans up the kick sound. The store told me just like the website does that a muffled reso head would limit its possibilities. So any muffleing or a Aquarian front head won't work. I'm using an Aquarian superkick 1 batter and a Powerstroke 3 reso on a Mapex M-Birch and its out of this world. I was told that just a ambassador reso would be even better. I also used a Audix D6 mic with the same results.

Bottom line if your interested in one I think its worth it. But if you can bring your kick to your local shop and try it for yourself thats the only real way to tell if its for you.

Thanks for the review.

I had especially been curious about how they worked with a mic.
