Default Drop clutch help?

I just got a brand new Gibraltar drop clutch. The problem is, I've never played with a drop clutch before, and like the dummy I am, I can't figure out how it goes on. =( Help, please?

Oh, and happy holidays to everybody

Attach the clutch to the top hi hat, as if it were a normal hi hat clutch. Then put it on the stand, put the drop action on top of it, and tighten it.

Don't let the two sections throw you. As Poly said, set it up the same as you would with a standard clutch i.e the top hat sits between the felts/rubber on the bottom section of the clutch then, screw the nut back on to the underside of the top hat. Then put this section on the rod on the HH stand, put the top section on making sure the clip grabs on to the bottom section. Set your hats as normal and tighten the top of the clutch to the rod. Viola!!

Use your hand or stick to hit the lever which will then disengage the clip, the top hat drops, closing the two together. To re-attach, simply put your foot down on the HH pedal.

The drop clutch should be set up in a manner which allows the lever to catch the underside of the part which is shanked down. The two parts will fit neatly together. All you need to do is rotate the clutch where the lever doesn't catch in the hole as it is pictured doing right now.
