Default Snarey Xmas

Dunnett Claus gave me everything I asked (paid) for this year. And I didn't even have to sit on his lap. Probably a good thing for both of us. Anyway, its time to meet two new sexy additions to my drum kit, Silken and Kober.

Silken features a 5x14 polished stainless steel shell and MetalWood Hybrid hoops

Kober features a 6.5x13 titanium shell in Candy Copper and a die-cast batter hoop (not shown)

I probably don't have to tell you how good they sound either.

Santa must really like you. All I got was a 18 x18 drum shell to refinish for a bass drum. Merry-snarey christmas.

What's that chrome knob on the butt end of the Kober snare (last picture)? Is that the vent hole?

And that Silken, clean son, that's a classy looking snare.

I wondered about that also. I'm guessing adjustable vent for some sound control.

WOW. That candy copper finish is absolutely stunning! I've heard nothing but good things about Dunnett drums, and hopefullly I'll someday have the resources to buy one for myself. Have fun with those beauties!

It's an adjustable vent IIRC Dunnett calls it a hyper vent. It can be closed or opened by turning the knob.
