Default Converting a hanging floor tom to a floor tom with legs?

So basicly, having to have my floor toms hanging seriously limits where you can place the cymbal stand that the tom is hanging off...which is a right pain the ass..

So I was looking at floor tom brackets/legs and it seems quite expensive to get them...but I guess I'll just have to deal with that. Anyway my problem...I cannot work out how you attach the brackets... I would rather not have to drill holes into my drums if that can be avoided.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Oh and these were the brackets I am currently looking at so you know:

That Worldmax System tom mount thing looks like a better option to me...But I've done a little bit of searching and cannot find any place to order them?

I have just realised that my floor tom is a 6 lug drum, so none of these DSS would fit...And I've only been able to find 6 lug mounts up to 13" which is too small...Does anyone know of another method by which I could mount the drum or know somewhere that does sell a 6 lug 14" DSS system? Thanks

I use a snare stand, just don't crank it too tight or it will choke the drum

I believe the mounts are adjustable. Gauger Percussion, the company that makes RIMS mounts, makes a similar floor tom mount called the Dynamount.

http://www.gaugerpercussion.com/dynamount.html

From their description:

Quote:
The DynaMountŪ alloy band now comes in two halves with adjustable sliding flanges and three leg mounting plates designed to use standard leg mounting hardware.

Three flanges are supplied for 6" through 12" sizes. Four flanges are supplied with 13" through 16" sizes. For functional reasons, the addition of more flanges to the specific size RIMSŪ Mounts is not recommended!
