Default Roland SPD-S + Ableton Live?

Hi guys.

I was hoping someone out there can help me set up my SPD-S with Ableton Live - it's been a pain, plus I'm pretty lazy and tech-illiterate. How cool is the SPD-S? I used to use it mainly to play bass and synth samples in a two-piece band (through a PA or what have you) but at the moment I'm looking at making my own progressive-drummy-electro stuff so I'd like to get it to run through a computer/Live.

I'm really at a loss when it comes to this sort of thing, so any help/tips would be much appreciated. So, I have one of those MIDI in/out to USB cables, but I don't really know where to go from here when it comes to syncing it with Live? What I really want is to be able to play say one of the "drum scrolls" from Live using the SPD-S, where each pad corresponds to a drum on the softsynth instrument. Surely it can be done?

Any help would be awesome!

Cheers,
Trent
