Default DRUM MUTE HELP!

i need a 12" 13" 14" 16" and a 22". i have never messed with mutes but i really need them as soon as possible. the quieter the better. any suggestions?(within 0-60 $'s please)

Go to a rubber supply store and buy a sheet. Then use your rims to cut out the pads. Just place the rim on the mat and cut within the rim with a stanly knife. You will save a lot of money this way.

Great idea and cheaper alternative to paying for mutes. I did this years ago using two of those roll up hiking matresses. I even had enough off cuts to put on the cymbals too. Doesn't feel like the same response that you'd get from a drum head, I'll admit....but then again, any of the branded mutes I've tried don't come remotely close either. But they WILL keep the sound down for you.
