Default Rudiment Motions

OK, I searched quite a bit and i couldn't find any results specifically about this topic.

My main concern with rudiments, is what motions do you use when you practice them?

Should I be working on full, medium, and tap strokes for each one? Does each rudiment
have specific motions and accents?

And also about double strokes, and any rudiment that has a double in it...
Do i practice that motion with just regular strokes (medium, taps, etc) or do they have
hand motions for the double? (some call it push pull i think)?

Anyway thanks for any help.

Default Re: Rudiment Motions

i think this is a brilliant explanation of which motions you use for each aspect of a rudiment. it is the first time i have paid for an on line lesson, but it was worth every penny. Now i know in detail what i am trying to achieve. dont agree with his grip, recently got hooked on the third finger fulcrum technique, but all the other stuff about what muscles you should use is realy good. you can download a few trial pages to see if it is good for you.
