Default That new gear feeling!

Just thought I'd share pics of my new jazz kit.

Am currently saving for a new tama but needed a wee jazz number to play/record and rehearse with my quartet.

I changed the evans heads to remo onbes. I'm not a big fan of evans personally.

I have ordered an 18" ambassador bass head so I'll be r3eplacing the muffled one once that gets here. Though with the muffled head (which i guess is like a powerstroke3) you get a really controlled bass sound so I may be changing the heads for different gigs.

Strange things though...one of the floor tom leg holders is really stiff and required quite a lot of effort to get the leg in and out. It seems to have been made too tight.

And one of the hanging toms tension rods was just about long enough to reach the lug....only just.

I haven't got a new kit in years so I'm like a kid at xmas. Can't wait to give it a twirl on Monday night at rehearsal.

Nice finish. Naked, just as I like them! Can't agree with you on the Evans thing though. Each to his own.
