Wrong title. There isn't a nice little groove going on. It's an improv consisting mainly of loose fills punctuated by groove snippets. Problem is, the groove snippets fall apart as soon as you inject the doulble kick stuff. Not only is it out of place, it's also out of time. I applaud your development of doubles on a single kick. Most players your age would automatically gravitate to a double pedal. Now you've learnt how to do doubles on kick, you need to learn how & when to use them. They should be used sparingly. That's how you get the best impact from their use. In your very short groove pieces, well placed single kicks would have been so much more effective.

I'm not being negative about your playing, you have skills and have obviously put some work in. Now it's time to tame those urges to use your full box of tricks in everything you do. You know what comes next. Yes, you guessed it, "Keep It Simple"!!!

True it's not much of a groove. i did a lot of double kick stuff, because I've been getting pretty good at it. Thanks for the advice.
