Default timbales with drum key / "top" style tuning??

I know LP makes a line (the prestige)

anybody else make em? (Im thinking full on timbales like a 13-15 macho as opposed to timbalitos or trapkit adjuncts)

Tycoon percussion make them. This is the company that used to make the LP Aspire line.

update - I went ahead and emailed them

I'm not seeing any of their products on their website with the feature, but if they are releasing stuff under other badges or have a new line - perhaps it's not reflected on the website

fingers are crossed

and thanks again!

looks like Pearl has a couple of products as well with that style tuning - so perhaps they are out there more than I realize

thats cool

my initial concern is not so much with the overall quality of any particular make - but about the inclusion particular design element (top style drumkey tuning)

haven't heard back from tycoon yet - but it's a little early and their US offices look to be in CA (Im west coast too)

did the set you just played have the top-style drumkey tuning? (any idea what the model was?)

Yep. I thinks it's a low end set. They are for sale here in the shop. The shells are fine. The tuning is just like a kit drum. Sometimes the usual way is a pain having to hold the spanner beneath the drum to make an adjustment.
