Default Re: INTRODUCTIONS - Please use this thread to introduce yourself

real name: Scott Deming

age: 23

how long been playing: since I was 7, so 16 years

origin of user name: I'm in the Army and desperately trying to make cut-off points for Sergeant, and drumming is my life so put them together BAM! SGT Drummer. That and my typical gamertag of "Breasticles" wouldn't really make sense on here.

top 5 drummers: Buddy Rich, John Theodore, Tony Royster Jr., Neil Peart, and Travis Barker

make of drumkits: Right now I have a 7 piece Pearl Studio Session set that isn't in production anymore. Towards the end of the year I'm looking to pick up a smaller kit to drag around for practicing. Probably going to be either Gretsch or Ddrum.

make of cymbals: ZILDJIAN FTW!!! I like basically all cymbals, I prefer Zildjians and primarily own them, but I also have a few Sabians and Paiste.

where do you practice: Right now, on my leg, on a desk, on anything that makes noise. I'm in Iraq so I don't have a drumset here I can play, but when I get home it will be in me and my cousin's studio.

are you in a band: Not anymore unfortunately. Soon as I get out of the Army this is basically my top priority. Well, after minor things like school, a job, etc.

what style of music: Typically rock or alt. rock. The last band I was in was described as "Mindless bar rock". But I can play just about anything.

one really odd fact about yourself: I'm paid to kill people. Isn't the government great!

how did you start drumming: I started before 4th grade. My mom mentioned something to me aboutt joining the school band. I had originally picked out a flute, but thank god I switched shortly after to the drums. And I have been hooked every since.

origin of user name: Well all my buddies in Korea called me Lumpy because of 1 the cyst I had on my head and 1 on my wrist.

top 5 drummers: To tell the truth i dont really know any drummers but my cousin can play so Ryan Guzman

make of drumkits: Right now I dont have any drums i cant really play in iraq but i bought a Remo practice pad to get my beats and counting down..

make of cymbals: none as of yet.

where do you practice: Right now, on my leg, on a desk, on anything that makes noise. I'm in Iraq so I don't have a drumset here I can play, but when I get home i will be buying a drum set and setting it up in my second room.

are you in a band: Not yet but when i get good enough i will find one.

what style of music: i really like punk, classic, and southern rock.

one really odd fact about yourself: I've got alot of scars on the back of my head only 1 of which i know where it came from.

how did you start drumming: well i have always wanted to start drumming but when i was younger my parents would let me so now that im old enough Im startin

Real name: George Adler Jr.

age: 18

how long been playing: for six years

origin of user name: I love Sweden, and they use the affix -sson in their family names like Svensson, Andersson etc. and my family name is Adler and I put this -sson to the end of Adler.

top 5 drummers: György Martonosi, Gábor Dörnyei, Ian Paice, Tamás Fejes, Christopher Schneider

make of drumkits: I've had a Mapex drumkit but I had to sell it for financial reasons, but I'm going to buy a Tama Imperialstar IS in this summer.

make of cymbals: Alchemy, Sabian

where do you practice: If I had a drumkit I would practice at home, but now I should use my frined's Pearl kit.

are you in a band: I've never wanted to play in band, however I've got a lots of request. But I've a lots of occasional performance.

what style of music: rock, metal and the sub-genres of these.

one really odd fact about yourself: I can speak Hungarian. o_O

how did you start drumming: I saw that everyone in my class plays an instrument, and I thought, I look for something suitable and I've chosen the drums.
