Default Pearl Rhythm Traveler or Pulse Pro? Help me choose a kit!

OK well basically, I want an acoustic drum kit. I have a Yamaha DD-65 (electric table top drums, which is fine, but recording with it is a pain since sometimes the triggers wont go off (or will go off too many times) and all pieces of the kit are recorded on a single stereo channel which makes it impossible to adjust sound levels

Anyways, I would a small but definitely affordable kit. I also, am looking for smaller kits since this will be going in my bedroom and well, I want it to take up as little space as possible. So I have decided between the

Pearl Rhythm Traveler

Buy Pearl Rhythm Traveler 5-Piece Drum Set | Complete Drum Sets | Musician's Friend

or the Pulse Pro

Buy Pulse Pro 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Black Hardware | Complete Drum Sets | Starter Drum Sets | Musician's Friend

Now both kits include some cymbals (although I have heard the Pearl ones are quite poor) all the hard ware, kick pedals and what not.

But the Pearl is a good $100 more.

I would end up buying a new ride cymbal (if I got the Pulse) or a new crash (if I got the Pearl)

I have heard very good things about the pearl (also heard that it is quieter than normal kits, which is a plus in my case, and also comes with the mesh heads, which doesnt matter too much to me) but I havent heard much about the Pulse Pro.

Which do you all think is a better kit? Spend more for a smaller kit or spend less for a normal kit!

Edit: on a side note, is there any way to do the bill me later type thing without having a credit score or anything? All I have is my debit card and I have no credit whatsoever and I am curious about it

Tough question, I bought my RT for the ease of transport. I also have a full sized kit. The RT is a quality product that fills a spot in the drum world for price and ease of use. The RT is in its own category. It has its own sound. Its like nothing else. I really don't know anything about the Pulse Pro's quality. You may be better off getting a used Pearl Export or the like for a good price instead of the Pulse Pro. The Export is a good proven product. The RT is a good choice also. I don't even know who manufactures Pulse Drums! I couldn't find a co web site. I have seen them for years and I never gave them much thought before.
Perhaps someone could shed some more light on them.
