Default Zildjian 20" K custom dark ride

What type of music will best fit the sound that this ride produces, rock, jazz, what do you think?

I've seen a popular metal band use one. Cymbals aren't classified by music style. Just play whatever sounds pleasing to you. It's all miced anyway so volume is not a concern.

This being said, I'm looking to buy this ride and wanna know how washy it is. I like decent defition with some wash in a ride. The dark ride is pretty thin and if it's very washy and little articulate, I may look into a KC dry ride.

Ya, this cymbal does sound washy, thats why I think it has a more jazzy feel to it. It also has a very small sweet spot on the bell. It has great sticking rebound, but isnt pingy enough for me. I mostly play rock and funk and kind of wish I would have gotten a differnt ride cymbal.

Jazz rides are usually dry, not washy.

I think that is a very versatile ride , it has a low pitch but is not that dark and is not dry at all , so it can fit most styles .
I wanted to buy it to use it as a ride and also to crash ride it , because it produces a really nice wash .

taylor hawkins of foo figthers used it as a crash .

so i think that is one of those rides that can do almost everything , If I had the money I would buy it inmediatly
