hey Bram, nice setup, looks really clean. Love the Alphas. What did you use to make the piccalo tom from?

Nice set-up man. Looks really clean-not overdone with cymbals.

I made 2 piccolo's from the 10" tom from my old drumset, the mounting bracket is the leg bracket from my old floortom. Haha thanks, the overload of cymbals is going to come in the future when I have money :)

Paiste's just look so nice. I don't even know what it is about them.

As for my Gretsch I have had good luck with coated G2's over clear G1's.
Nice looking set there. But I think that Piccolo tom is a bit thicker that 2 inches??

I'm not a great fan of coated heads on toms, so I could try clear G2's on top with the stock heads on bottom?? Bram

The piccolo is 4" deep, I will edit the first post.

You should upgrade the batter heads to G2s first i reckon then if you can't afford it now get some G1s later for the bottom.

Or if you're a remo guy (Remo is cheaper and more easily available than Evans in the Netherlands), go for emperors, they are comparable to G2's.
Sweet kit! I like the piccolo tom. Too bad it isn't colour matched. |

My previous kit was red wrapped, and I took the wrap off (without heating it up, so there is still some glue on it) and I still have to paint it :)

I bought a set of Emperors for my toms;
I have to tune them a little bit better, and I think it will sound good after that. Bram

I bought a double pedal!!
I wanted to buy a Iron Cobra Jr. but the man at the shop said he had a 4 months old, barely used DW 4000 for not so much money. I tried it and I liked it very much!!! I could never think of having DW stuff at a age of 16 :) I will post pics of the pedal and my little changed cymbal set soon. Bram

Great set! How much was the DW?

I was lucky, the pedal is 4 months old, and barely used.
A new one would cost 300 or 350 euros, and I got this one for 200 euros. I will take some pics today or tomorrow. Bram

that sounds like a good deal! A Pearl Powershifter would cost roughly the same.

Yeah they're good heads too. Cool that you got a set, get it nicely tuned and it should sound awesome.

Very nice setup, I also love the finish. BTW, since your name is Bram, I guess you're Dutch?

Do you have pics of your kit? I've used the search, but I couldn't find any. Ja, ik kom ook uit Nederland, uit de Achterhoek om precies te zijn, jij??
