Default One up Two down?

I've been looking for a pretty decent priced one up two down config drum set with a 24 in bass drum, but surprisingly i cant find much. I need a new set for the rock show, so my money's limited. Should i just settle for a 24 inch kick and one floor tom with two rack toms or a 22 inch kick with the one up two down? or does anyone know of any set that's decently priced for the config i mentioned above?

Depends on your budget, and what you consider decently priced. And also, what companies you like/dislike. I can definitely find you a decent deal if I know these.

Well, in the 22" config with Tama you have the $400 set from MF:
http://drums-percussion.musiciansfri...ack?sku=482385

Gretsch had some 24" setups that'd work for you... except MF got rid of them about six hours ago :| A little over your budget, but there is this on ebay for $650: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-GRETSCH-CATA...6#ht_622wt_907

That's about all I could find within that price range. It's hard to find a 24" AND 1up/2down for under $500 because of the amount of wood (and hardware) needed, not to mention shipping costs for retailers.

EDIT: And this is way above your price range, but Ludwig Centennials from Just Drums are amazing, use US maple and are really powerful. http://www.justdrumsonline.com/store...al-series.aspx Here's a video with them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttIJQjcSuN8

No problem. If you do buy the Superstar, gimme a heads up on what heads you used and how it sounds.

And the 805 is 20 inch, sorry: http://www.pacificdrums.com/805/default.asp

PDP does offer an 805 kit with a 24" BD and 13,16 and 18 in. toms. It's birch and comes in a black on black that looks decent. It's a pretty good deal and in the store it sounded pretty good.

Dale's Drum Shop on ebay has 3 different Sonor SSE Rock Special Editions for $399! You also get black coated hardware.
20X22" virgin bass drum and 12" 14"FT 16"FT
I bought my special edition Sonor Force 3007 from these guys and love it. New in the box.

About 80 percent of the drummers on Earth are already playing that configuration, so the supply of these sets is exhausted.

I don't know most of cats I see are always going the multiple rack tom route. Whenever I see one up; two down I kind of sit up and pay closer attention. But then again it could be a regional or generational thing when it comes to setup preferences.
