I don't think it is a Ludwig Supraphonic 400, but judging buy the lugs and the mid 60's keystone badge it could be a Ludwig Acrolite, I think they were around in the 60's.
What size is it and have you any idea on the age? Acrolite's were 14x5 and Supraphonics were 14x5 and 14x6.5. I had a brief look on the internet and the serial points to 1968. I hope this helps.

dave, the guy who gave it to me, said it was from the 30's
i dont really think its that old... i would guess, since it has plastic heads, that its from the 60's i will ask dave, and if he knows ill post it. |

Nice one!
Gave it to you, very nice, has Dave got a vintage snare to give to me! I have restored a few drums but nothing major, do you plan to restore it? I'd love to have ago at a snare like that, you are a lucky boy.

In the 30's, drums has claw and hook over straight hoops with tube lugs. That, and Ludwig didn't start serial numbers until the 1960's. It does resemble a Ludwig Acrolite. Either way, it looks like a nice find. |

It is a Ludwig Acrolite from the Sixties.
Have a look at this document and see what it says about the Acrolite. |
