It was just on AP that Les Paul has died at 94

Well isn't that a bummer! At least he lived a long life. What a brilliant innovator and musician, shame we don't see many like him any more!

imo he deserves at least as much news coverage as michael jackson but that probably won't happen. Well it's great that he lived as long as he did, what a legend in his own time indeed.

I'm really having a hard time thinking of another person in the U.S. that had a greater affect on modern music than him. Maybe Elvis or Fats Domino. But Les Paul invented the instrument that truly created rock n' roll.
