Default Amazed!! Gifts from generous friend.

A friend of mine started playing drums 2.5 years ago. In the last year he had not touched them. An unfortunate situation happened recently and he is moving to Texas (from Ca.) tomorrow. He showed up at my work yesterday and told me to come get his drums. He didn't want to take them. To much other stuff to worry about. I said I didnt want to take his stuff from him. He said if I didn't they were going in the alley; So I showed up.
I was amazed at what he gave me;.................all in great shape mind you.
A complete starter kit TAMA Imperialstar w/new Evans heads.
Sabian; AAX 16 & 18 crash, 19 china and 20 ride.
Zildjian; New beat hi-hats and 18 zbt china.
Paiste; Pst5 16 & 18 crashes.
DW5000 2 leg hi-hat stand & DW black/chrome metal snare........(about 8 lbs.)
An older Mapex snare (V series)
Two metronomes
Black LP jam block.
Vic Firth Stick bag.
And a clamp on boom arm and a bunch of sticks.

I still can't believe it.
I hope his situation works out for him and wish him the best.
And I can't say thank you enough for what has given me.

That's brilliant. I know exactly how it feels to be given a free drumkit by your mate too lol. You might feel slightly guilty after this but you've really got to pay him back not by getting him something else nesecerally (maybe a couple of drinks would be nice if you see him around again) but by being a good mate, that's what friends are for ;).

My band is playing a party on the 4th of July. I will take pics. I will be using the cymbals, DW snare and hi-hat stand w/my PDP kit. The Tama kit is for my son.
