Default New Pearl Masterworks + PorkPie Snare!

Well I finally picked up my new (well actually second hand) Pearl Masterworks kit. It's amazing, exactly the look, finish, sizes and sound I wanted in a kit.

Black Hardwhare with a blackish finish over wood grain. Looks Amazing. Maple/African Mahogany shells.

12x9 Rack Tom
16x16 Floor Tom
26x16 Kick

14x6.5 PorkPie Big Black Snare - I got this a bit before the kit, wasn't too impressed with the sound with a Remo CS head so i changed over to Evans Generea Dry and my god it sounds fantastic, massive crack with right amount of body.

I'm going to be picking up some G2's for the toms in a day or two. The Kit came with a Aquarian Super Kick II which sounds great, but I think i shall try a regular bass drum head with either some felt or just a pillow to add more body to it.

Nice, classy kit. I really dig it.

However, that throne looks like it's seen better days...

I (obviously) havn't got my cymbals shown, i use a mix of paiste sigs and 2oo2's. I'd like to gt a 10" roto tom and mandala drum pad later in the year.

Nice kit, you'll have to show us pics with the cymbals set up and that.
