Default 1970s Kick Logo Heads

I was hunting up some stuff in the basement and came across a couple of 22" kick drum heads I had in the 1970s. The first one is an Evans hydraulic in blue with a Roger Dean-esque rendering of my name, painted by my older sister the artist. I had, apparently, stared at the cover of Tales From Topographic Oceans one too many times.

The second one (which I had completely forgotten about) is from my old Gretsch birch kit.

It is a little scary for me to think that the Evans is a good 35 years old and the Gretsch even older.

Very cool. I've listened to that album one too many times; in my teen years I used to listen to it while falling asleep. I became a better drummer that way, swear to gawd :P
