Steve Ferrone's Cymbals?
I thought I'd post this here instead of the Drummers section as it's really only cymbal related. I've been really diggin' Steve's work lately. I also mentioned this is another thread a while back. Does anybody know what Steve's Cymbal setup was from the 1983 era? Listening to 'Feel Like Makin' Love' by George Benson lately, and just love the sound of his crashes. Check out the attached mp3 of a snippet from the song. You get a nice clear example of what I'm going on about just before 18 seconds in. Anyone with a really good ear that can distinguish which cymbals he's using??

My guess is that Steve is playing the first batch of Sabian HH series cymbals here , also the hihats . Amazing sounds !
Great pocket playing by Steve , also check out the album ''Naughty '' by Chaka Khan , one of the best rythhm sections ever i.m.h.o. ! Why don't you ask Steve directly , he must have a web site ..
