(But mostly funk) I have a great pair of 13" Zildjian K hi hats but I don't know what kind of ride would go well with it. Even though my hi hats are dark, I'd rather a fairly high-pitched ride, with a good ping and a great-sounding bell. If it's crash-able that's even better. I'm looking for something to keep for a long time, so I can invest a good amount. I also need the cymbal to last a long while : nothing that breaks after 2-3 years. So, here I am, open to your suggestions and hoping you can point me in the right direction. Thank you. |

If you want something bright, try Paiste Signatures. I have a paiste sound formula (very similar to the signature line) power ride and it's quite bright. Their dry rides are also lovely.

You might like the Zildjian A Ping Ride, or the Sabian Ed Shaughnessy Universal Ride.

if you like the Zildjian's, check out the 20" K Ride, 22" K Light Ride or maybe one of the Constantinpole's - their all nice...

I think the K ride would go well with your hats, or the K custom medium ride if you want more shimmer and wash.
Btw, what do you fuink drummers normally use? I thought they had high pitched and precise hats, like A new beat, K/Z. |

You might consider the Armand Zildjian 20" or 21" ride

PHP Code:
Thanks for the suggestions, after having listened to what you guys have presented, I have to say that my favorite is the K custom 22" Medium Ride. It's got a great defined ping, just enough wash and isn't too dark (considering it's K). It's crashable as well. And what a bell ! |
