Default Cheap, kick-ass cowbell stand

Hey Crew,

As you have probably already determined, I'm always experimenting around with new ideas for my drums, and I'm also a "super-cheapskate", and love fabricating things!

I have a large cowbell that has a vertical mount hole for (I guess) mounting on the hi-hat rod above the hats. This has worked kinda well, but has some drawbacks. I decided that I would make a separate stand for it, and was getting ready to weld & blacksmith one up, when I saw my neighbor throwing away a nice chrome music stand. The top part that holds the sheet music was gone, leaving the stand. Hell, I grabbed that puppy and mounted the cowbell right on the bend of the rod, and it's at a perfect 30 degree angle, rather than horizontal.

Could not be more perfect- sometimes my bass player plays "back-up" cowbell, (like during the drum solo in "Funk 49"), and likes not having to get too close to my drums.

Cool part is the height is adjustable, and I can place it anywhere I need to. Cool beans.

Rock on,
C. P.

Chalk one up for the cheap, inventive type. Love it.
