Default Smoothe emperor or coated?

I've heard good things about both of these heads, I like the warmth of coated heads and the clarity of clear heads and I've been told that the smooth emperors possess both of these qualities. I like the clear tone of clear heads but not the plasticy attack. What are the differences between the smooth and coated emperors? Do they feel that different?

Cheers!

They feel different. the smooth are less focused and have less of a tendency to sound papery. The coated are warmer and more focused and have less of a tendency to sound plasticky.

I am using coated ATM.
