Default Need Help with my Drum Mic setup

Hey guys I need a little help finishing out my drum mic setup for home recording.

I currently only have 3 SM57's. I would like to add in a kick drum mic, a couple of overhead condensers, and maybe a couple more tom mics. My budget is around $3-400.

I would mainly be using this setup for home recordings/demo's and maybe a rare live spot or two.

I would also be using a Presonus Firepod and a Macbook Pro with GarageBand/Logic 8.

Here are some options I was thinking of (feel free to add suggestions or give advice):

Audix Fusion 6

Audix Fusion 7

Audix Custom 4-piece set (D6, 3-ADX-90's...I would have to add overheads later)

Shure PG 6-piece

Shure PG 4-piece (spend extra $150 on overheads or save to buy better overheads later)

Right now I'm leaning towards the Shure PG 6 piece set. What do you guys think?

If it matters the music will range from Folk to Folk/Rock to Indie and Alternative. Nothing super heavy.

personally, i think you should get a kick mic and two overheads, uses the 57s you have on snare and toms and your set.

That's a good idea. Any reco on mics?

Maybe a beta 52 and a couple Audix F15's?

I found a pair of AT2035's brand new for $100 each so I nabbed two of those. I now have $200 for a good kick mic

I would recommend Kel HM1's for the overheaeds $130 each new. The Shure Beta 52 on kick and the 57's on snare and toms.

As an alternative you use the Glyn Johns technique and roll with 4 mics. The Beta 52, 2 Kels and a 57
