Oh man. What I would have done to have a kit half as nice as yours at that age.

Thats an awesome kit man! You pay for it or are your parents pretty cool!? My kit at 13 was a 3rd hand rusting 'stage percussion' kit that had no cymbals or even a snare!

Thats awsome! My dad was a muso too but knows nothing about drums. I recently made him get back into guitar and made him buy a squire telecaster and an amp! Bring on the jamming!

Many adults don't have kits that nice. Play hard, and earn it!

You are very lucky and blessed. I was playing cardboard boxes with spoons at 13!! I admire parents that encourage their kids to follow their passion. I certainly try to with mine.

I would love to see some higher quality pictures. The finish looks great!!

Holy wow! Lucky kid. I played on pots and pans at your age...and my dad was a drummer! Just think of how great you'll be if you practice everyday, going forward...you'll be incredible. Hopefully this kit will be a great motivator for you.

Nice kit, you'll have to get a paper round to pay for some nice cymbals now ;) I watched your video and it's really good, i'm so glad to see you're actually playing the things unlike a lot of kids who get really expensive musical instruments then just give them up at the first hurdle.

By the way, I have a 14 inch hi hats, 14 crash, 16 crash, 20 ride, and a pearl rhythm traveler snare on the side...
The Tama MetalWorks snare is focused and great for its price!

I was thrilled with that much information, before viewing your pix.

You have a cool drum set. Tama makes good drums. I have always liked red kits and yours is bodacious. I love that finish.

Don't ever quit, young man.

Beautiful drum set. I have a quite similar one and they're truly awesome drums. Everything in general is so much easier and more fun. The black hardware looks sweet, I actually would rather it be a dark grey than true black.

The hardware is dark grey. Tama does not offer black hardware.

It's known as "gun metal". I think it's pretty sweet really.

yes... especially for a dark finish I'd rather have the gun metal. Still looks slightly better than black hardware from pearl, dw, yadda yadda. And better than Tama's true black hardware which was offered in the early 90's on Ulrich kits.

Great kit mate, the first kit I owned was a Tama swingstar - which was red too!
Get behind it everyday, even if its only for 10 minutes. But most of all... ENJOY IT! :-)

No i don't think they do. We have a thread btw called "show us your 2 rack toms to the left of bass kits" or something to that effect. You could post it in there :p

They sound great they are controlled and focused but at the same time a little bit open... look at my youtube and see how it sounds but the problem is that the quality is not great because of the mics i used but check it out!

Sweet!
I play a B/B also, but in stardust fade.
Great drums, aren't they? They just sing when tuned right, and the bass is a cannon.

Although, like said before, when you get the cash and go buy your self a shiny new (or used, up to you) set of cymbals. Either way, great kit. It's awesome to have a kit like that at your age.
