Default Acrylic Drum Players - Ever Put Glitter IN The Drums?

Has anyone ever tried this?

I would think it might look really cool, though maybe there isn't enough air volume moving to get the glitter really going.

I would like to see if it does work though. But I have no acrylic drums...

If i had a clear acrylic kit i'd seal it up real good, fill each drum with water and put rocks and some tropical fish in them. You could'nt play them but sure would look cool.

I've heard of people putting cotton balls in their toms to muffle the sustain. When you hit the drum, the movement of the resonant head will kick up the cotton ball, and when it falls back down, it will muffle the head, shortening the sustain length without impacting the EQ of an "open" tom sound. I've never tried it myself, but I've heard that it works great. I assume that glitter in a tom might do something similar. Now I'm curious about this, too. Anyone?
